Sriracha is one of the best selling hot sauce brands and has made its founder and owner David Tran a billionaire.

Tran was a refugee from Vietnam who arrived in America in 1979, and was granted asylum in the country.

After the Vietnam War, Tran was forced to flee his country because of crackdown on ethnic Chinese.

Back home he used to make a sauce using hot peppers, and he started selling it again in USA.

Tran called it Sriracha, and gave it a logo of a rooster- his Chinese zodiac sign.

He started Hoy Fung Foods- named after the boat on which he escaped.

Sriracha is now a global food staple, popular all over America.
